Elizabeth Straessle of Ballenger Realty has been "Providing the American Dream" since 2004 as a licensed real estate agent.  However, her Real Estate career began two years before that while she was attending Maryland University, where she worked in a very large regional real estate office and was solely in charge of the marketing department.  Upon graduating with Cum Laude honors and a BS in marketing, Elizabeth went on to become a certified Broker.   She is trained in marketing, 1031 exchange, military relocation, and is auction certified.  Elizabeth gained her title Certified Auction Specialist through Prudential Realty.

When Elizabeth was 8 years old, her family sold their home and she first set eyes upon a real estate agent.  She noticed how much this woman loved her job and how professional she always seemed and when she was offered an internship with Help-U-Sell Realty, she jumped at the chance.  After two years of marketing for other real estate agents, Elizabeth decided to go into business for herself.  "I love being able to help people find a place to live. Working with first time home buyers is my favorite when I see the smile on their face when I hand them their first set of keys!"

Relocated by the Marine Corps, Elizabeth picked out her last home from across the country, making her realize the importance of having the capability for buyers to search for properties online. That is why she offers her buyers high tech home hunting tools. Her talent and education provides a great advantage to her clients giving them the most cutting edge techniques to better serve them than the "typical agent."  

In the past Elizabeth has resided in San Diego, CA and got a lot of experience working with Foreclosures, REOs and short sales. Due to a Military Relocation she is now excited to call wonderful Beaufort home. Moving cross country several times gives Elizabeth an even better understanding of the hardships of relocating and the stresses of being both a home seller and buyer. With this experience and streamlined systems in place Elizabeth is pleased to provide a smooth home buying and selling experience for her clients.  She also specializes in first-time home buyers and enjoys helping people.  "Not only do I help people find a house I help them find a place that I give them ideas of how to make that house their home."

The most challenging part of buying selling in today's market is getting buyers qualified to purchase and sellers to get their home ready to sell and listing it at a price that it will sell.  For first time home buyers, Elizabeth offers the advice to get pre- qualified and make sure they are comfortable with the monthly payment.  What is Elizabeth's outlook on Beaufort's current market? "In this area home values did not have a crazy jump and then plummet. Homes are at prices that are affordable. We have seen the number of homes sold month over month increase in the past quarter which leads industry experts to believe that we have probably hit the bottom and are now leveling out."

Although Elizabeth was located to Beaufort by the military, she tells us "The people are so warm and inviting and I love the small town feel. The live oak trees are breathtaking and the contrasting greens and blues of the marshes are marvelous. The culture and nature of the Low Country is what will bring me back even after the Marine Corps transfers us."  She suggests visiting some of Beaufort's fine restaurants, shopping, meandering along the waterway downtown, or heading to the numerous festivals throughout the year.
